An insult to sociology - This has got to be the worst written sociology book of our times. As a Ph.D. in sociological text and documentation, I've got quite a few things to write about this so called "text book". TEACHERS BE AWARE- This is NOT a book you want to teach out of. About 30% of the text written within this book is misinformed and completely false. Many of the vocabulary words (not just words in the text but actual bold vocabulary words)are completely fabricated by Diana and do not even exist in the dictionary. Word definitions are very wordy and confusing. Also, since when have you been able to use the word you are defining in the definition? Diana Kendall may think she knows sociology, but she is completely terrible at writing about it. The publisher Thomson Wadsworth should be very ashamed of publishing such a (for lack of better wording) POS book and Baylor University should be completely ashamed of employing such a faulty, non-credible 'sociology' professor. I can't believe this is the 6th edition of such a horrible text book. Diana should stop now before Wadsworth or anyone else files a lawsuit for misinformation.

Boring - This is the worst college class I have had. This book is sooo boring. It is all common sense; I learned nothing except how to name everyday knowledge with big words. This class was awful, and so was the book. Sorry I'm usually not negative about anything I just can't help it, it has been a horrible four months. I expect a A, which is a really big deal because I thought I was going to fall asleep in several of the tests. Horrible, just horrible.
