Frightened Rabbit - I recommend that you learn these tactics elsewhere. The author of this book is so worried about hippies and long-haired villains trying to get him that I question his ability to decide or teach when to use lethal force.

One of the best defensive shotgun texts in print. - Along with Ayoob's Stressfire II, this is the cream of the crop in defensive shotgun manuals. It's all here. Pretty much everything from choosing a weapon, to responding to threats, shooting wounded, basic weapon carry and presentation, and an excellent explanation of the basics like patterning a shotgun and using slugs. The author provides clear text and good graphics for explaining tactical movement and combat drills. And he added some combat entry/clearing material from his excellent tactics manual in case this is the only one of his books you buy. That stuff is invaluable for home defense. And drills are provided to help in-grain the techniques.
One of the few books for which I have ever given 5 stars. With this text and Ayoob's Stressfire II you'll have a full plate of Combat Shotgun with a dessert of basic entry/CQB tactics.

not a bad book - Apart from having to deal with the author's political views that he likes to share sometimes in his book, this is a good book for setting the foundation of your journey of learning shotgun combat techniques. This is the book of the basics, a beginners start guide, if you will.
