Excellent Resource - This book is another excellent resource for clinician's working with children. It is readable and user friendly

Helpful but lacking Solution-Focused - This book is written from the older and modern traditions in counseling, and doesn't utilize any perspectives from the newer thoughts like Motivational Interviewing, Social Constructionist, Collaborative, or Post-Modern therapies like Solution-Focused or Narrative Therapy. The book provides one perspective on treatment planning, but in my opinion would be more helpful with some cues from the post-modern schools.

Great resource - I'm a beginning counselor and this book has been a huge help in figuring out treatment plans and session activities for my clients. It's organized by presenting issue and provides not only wording examples for treatment plans but also specific ideas for what to do in session to meet the treatment goals. I would definitely recommend it!
